Riftbound is moving from launch hype into organized-play pressure
Riot Games is already giving Riftbound a serious organized-play spine. The official Riftbound site says the North American Regional Championship will run December 11–13 in Las Vegas at Convergence Fest, and ICv2 separately reported the announcement this week.
The important detail is not just the date. Riot frames the event as part of the path toward Riftbound’s first World Championship, with Regional Qualifier performance feeding into Regional Championship invitations. That moves the game from launch curiosity into a real competitive ecosystem.
