Editorial policy
Editorial Standards
Crosspad Gaming covers games from a faith-and-family perspective without distorting facts or hiding the interests behind our work.
Effective date: July 28, 2026
Sourcing and verification
- We prefer primary sources and verify material claims against them when available.
- We cite or name sources for factual claims, statistics, quotations, and developer or publisher statements.
- We attribute images, screenshots, and other media to their creators or publishers.
- We distinguish official announcements, third-party reporting, community discussion, and our own analysis.
- When information is unconfirmed, disputed, or incomplete, we say so.
Coverage types
We distinguish among reporting, analysis, reviews, guides, and opinion. Reviews are evaluated judgments; reporting aims to describe verified events; opinion and analysis are labeled by context and should not be presented as settled fact.
Access, review copies, and embargoes
- Review copies, press access, and interview opportunities do not guarantee coverage or favorable treatment.
- We disclose complimentary products, sponsored access, or other material relationships where they could affect a reader's assessment.
- We honor accepted embargo terms while retaining independent editorial judgment.
Affiliate links, advertising, and sponsorships
Revenue cannot purchase a rating, recommendation, Content Compass verdict, or favorable placement in independent coverage. Affiliate relationships and sponsored material are disclosed clearly where they appear. Sponsored work is identified as such and does not receive control over unrelated editorial decisions.
Conflicts of interest
We disclose material financial, professional, or personal relationships when they could reasonably affect coverage. Contributors may not accept undisclosed payment from a subject of editorial coverage.
AI-assisted workflow
Crosspad uses an AI-assisted, partially automated editorial workflow coordinated through Hermes. Agents may help research, draft, edit, classify, validate, schedule, and publish. Automated quality gates check required sourcing and production rules, but not every article receives human review immediately before publication. Crosspad's owner retains authority over editorial standards and correction decisions. AI output is not treated as evidence by itself.
Corrections
We correct material errors visibly and maintain a separate Corrections Policy describing how readers can report concerns and how changes are handled.
