Site policy

Privacy Policy

Crosspad Gaming collects as little information as practical. This policy describes the website's current practices.

Effective date: July 28, 2026

Information handled when you visit

Crosspad is a static publication site hosted by Vercel. Hosting infrastructure necessarily receives technical requests needed to deliver pages and protect the service. Crosspad also uses Vercel Web Analytics and Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate traffic such as page views, referring sites, approximate geography, devices, and browsers.

These analytics services are configured as privacy-focused measurement tools. They do not use advertising cookies or give Crosspad a profile that identifies you across websites.

Newsletter information

If you subscribe to the weekly newsletter, Buttondown processes your email address along with any content preferences and delivery day you select. Crosspad also sends the signup page path, referring site's hostname, and sanitized UTM campaign values so we can understand which signup placements work. Approved attribution values may be kept in session storage while you move between Crosspad pages so the original campaign can reach the signup form. Crosspad does not send full referring URLs, arbitrary query strings, search terms, or unapproved identifiers as newsletter metadata.

Buttondown may process technical subscription information and email delivery or engagement data according to its settings and privacy terms. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe option.

Affiliate-link measurement

Crosspad does not currently render tracked affiliate links or send affiliate-click events. If this measurement is activated, a marked affiliate link may generate an aggregate event containing the article slug, an internal link identifier, merchant name, placement, and destination hostname. It will not include your name, email, account or order identifiers, the full destination URL, query strings, fragments, or affiliate tags.

An outbound click does not tell Crosspad whether you completed a purchase.
