Atomic Mass Games Sets August Launch for Two Star Wars: Legion Expansions
Atomic Mass Games has two new Star Wars: Legion boxes headed to retail on August 14, according to ICv2: Galactic Bounty Hunters and Rebel AT-RT.
For Legion players, this is a useful spread. One box adds named Operative characters, while the other gives Rebel armies a support vehicle. That means the release is not just a collector headline; it gives two different player types something concrete to plan around.
What is in the new boxes
Galactic Bounty Hunters includes Cad Bane, Boba Fett, and Bossk. ICv2 describes them as Operative units that increase the flexibility of a Galactic Empire-era army, with specialized tactical options. The box includes three miniatures, bases, three Unit cards, six Upgrade cards, six Command cards, and an insert. ICv2 lists the MSRP at $39.99.
Rebel AT-RT is framed as a salvaged Imperial vehicle converted by the Rebels. ICv2 says it is a Support unit that can improve a Rebel army's mobility. That box includes one miniature, a base, one Unit card, three Upgrade cards, a punch sheet, and an insert. ICv2 lists the MSRP at $28.99.
Why it matters
Legion is at its best when players can build around a clear table identity. Bounty hunters bring a character-driven style that feels very Star Wars, while the AT-RT gives Rebel players another mobile tool. Neither announcement needs hype to matter; both are practical additions for people already building armies.
For families and newer players, the biggest question is cost and complexity. Named operatives can be exciting, but they usually ask players to understand special rules and timing windows. The AT-RT may be easier to grasp if the goal is simply adding a vehicle to a Rebel force.

This is a healthy kind of miniature-game release: specific, playable, and tied to recognizable Star Wars roles. It is not a vague roadmap tease. Players know the product names, the contents, the listed prices, and the retail date.
