Age of Sigmar's Ogor preorders put a hungry army back on the table

Games Workshop’s latest preorder wave gives Age of Sigmar players a fresh reason to look at the Ogor Mawtribes. Warhammer Community’s Saturday preorder post lists Ogors, Titans, and Uruk-hai as the week’s big release groups, while Wargamer focuses on the Ogor army set as the fantasy standout.
The Wargamer report says the Ogor Mawtribes set includes a Tyrant, two Maulbeast Cavalry, three Ironguts, 20 Gluttons, and the new Battletome. It also describes the miniatures as brand new sculpts, with build options for pieces such as the Tyrant and Maulbeast Cavalry.
That matters because a refreshed army box is often the easiest moment for a player to re-enter a faction. The rules, models, and table identity all arrive together, which lowers the friction for someone who has been waiting for the range to feel current again.
Why it matters
For families and hobby budgets, the preorder window is also the moment to slow down. A big army set can be exciting, but it usually means painting time, storage, extra tools, and follow-up purchases. The right question is not whether the sculpts look good. They do. The question is whether this is a planned army project or a shiny box that will become shelf guilt.
