Warhammer 40K players now have one more way to replace vibes with measurements. Wargamer spotlighted the Map Distance Calculator, a community-made web tool that lets players measure the distance between points on official Warhammer 40K battlemap layouts.
The tool is simple on purpose. Wargamer says players can choose Force Dispositions and deployment maps, then click and drag between points to see actual distance in inches. The calculator is live at 40kmaps.netlify.app, which makes this a practical tool, not just a clever screenshot.
Why it matters
That sounds dry until you remember how many games are decided by threat ranges people only half-understand. If a player knows what can shoot, charge, screen, or survive from a given point, they can spend less energy arguing with the board and more energy making real decisions.
