Decisive Campaigns: Twilight in the East scheduled for November 12
Matrix Games outlines 19 launch scenarios, PBEM++ multiplayer and scenario-creation graphics spanning the Eastern Front from 1941 to 1945.
Matrix Games has announced Decisive Campaigns: Twilight in the East, scheduling the new strategy game for November 12, 2026. Its October 2 Home of Wargamers recap outlines a return to the Eastern Front with 19 planned launch scenarios and Slitherine’s PBEM++ multiplayer system.
The game’s historical focus is operational warfare in 1941, particularly the campaigns of Army Group Centre, while also representing the wider war in the East. The recap names Victor Reijkersz as the developer.
The announced scenario lineup includes eight small scenarios, seven medium, three large and one massive. That gives prospective players a clearer picture of the planned content than a total alone, though those size labels do not establish how long individual scenarios will take to play.
Scenario creators are promised a broader historical range than the game’s stated 1941 focus. Matrix says the included equipment and troop-type graphics will support creating Eastern Front scenarios set from 1941 through 1945. That is a commitment to scenario-creation assets, not a claim that the included scenarios cover all five years.
Matrix also lists seven ground conditions, ranging from regular terrain to deep snow, alongside six weather types and a day-night cycle. For multiplayer, the publisher says PBEM++ integration will streamline the experience. That remains an announced benefit rather than a tested assessment of how multiplayer performs.
