According to Wargamer, Warhammer 40,000 11th edition is out now. The Armageddon launch box released in stores on Saturday, June 20, after Games Workshop announced the new edition at Adepticon 2026.

The guide also notes that standalone releases of the card decks from the Armageddon set, along with other 11th edition rules products, were already up for preorder and should release June 27. That makes this week less of a vague hype window and more of a practical transition point for players and local groups.

For new players, a launch box is usually the simplest way to enter a major miniatures game, though not necessarily the cheapest. Wargamer’s guide is right to flag that a new edition is a major event because it can reset assumptions about rules, armies, and how factions behave on the table.

For existing players, the more important question is patience. A new edition can be exciting, but it can also tempt people to buy before their group knows what it will actually play. Christian households should be especially alert to hobby pressure here: miniatures games reward planning, stewardship, and patience more than impulse.

The safe next move is to read the rules coverage, talk with your local group, and decide whether 11th edition solves a real table need. The Armageddon box may be the doorway, but the better hobby decision is the one your actual community can sustain.
