Renegade Game Studios and Hasbro have renewed their tabletop-game licensing agreement, continuing a partnership that covers Transformers and a broad range of other franchises and classic board games. Renegade’s October 1, 2026, announcement also highlights second editions of the Transformers and G.I. JOE roleplaying games, making the renewal relevant to RPG players as well as board-game fans.

Renegade describes both RPG second editions as recently announced projects updated for the latest evolution of the 5th Edition rules. That establishes the stated rules direction for the new editions, but the renewal announcement does not detail those changes or give either game a release date.

The renewed agreement reaches well beyond those two RPGs. Renegade lists Power Rangers, M.A.S.K., My Little Pony, JEM and the Holograms, and ROM the SpaceKnight among the other covered brands. Its classic tabletop lines under the deal include Axis & Allies, Acquire, Diplomacy, Heroscape, Robo Rally, and Ikusa.

In the October 1 post, Renegade said it planned further partnership announcements at Renegade Con in October, including the reveal of a new deck-building game and additional Power Rangers titles. The publisher also outlined plans for new tabletop games and expansions in 2027 and beyond, rather than confirming individual releases for that period.
