Against the Storm is expanding to the tabletop through a newly announced partnership with Mindclash Games. Hooded Horse and Eremite Games revealed the officially licensed adaptation on September 22, 2026, bringing the roguelite city builder’s settlement-building premise to a physical format.

According to the announcement, Against the Storm: The Board Game is designed for one to four players. It combines worker placement, resource management and city-building with exploration and adventure, tasking players with developing settlements in a world threatened by apocalyptic storms.

The announced design asks players to lead seven distinct species, each with different strengths and needs. Variable setups and randomized resources are intended to reward adaptation as well as long-term economic planning, making the available supplies and the needs of a settlement central to players’ decisions.

Players will have a choice between standalone sessions and a campaign, the announcement says. The campaign gives successive runs a larger objective: investigating the mysteries of the Blightstorm and searching for a way to stop it.

Crowdfunding is scheduled to begin in May 2027, with campaign updates directed to the official Gamefound page. That is a funding milestone, not a launch date: the announcement does not establish when the board game will release or reach backers.
